Personalized medicine (PM) is a new innovative area of medicine.
The goal of PM is to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with the most common serious diseases.
The specific feature of PM is that its approaches are based on the use of information about the individual biological characteristics of each human body. These features include genetic, biochemical, immunological, and other characteristics.
Currently, PM approaches have been used to prevent and treat the following diseases:
Gastroenterology
Gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer
Inflammatory diseases of the digestive system
Disorders of the digestive system microbiome
Enzymatic deficiency of the digestive system (including lactose deficiency)
Hematology
Thrombophilia
Dermatology
Alopecia
Psoriasis
Chronic dermatoses
Endocrinology
Diabetes mellitus
Obesity
Immunology
Immunosuppressive therapy after transplantation
Immunotherapy of allergic diseases
Immunotherapy of inflammatory (autoimmune) diseases
The NGO «Ukrainian League of Personalised Medicine» invites Ukrainian patient organisations to join the realisation of common projects that will contribute to the development and implementation of this innovative area of medicine in our country
